General Rental Terms

These general terms govern the seasonal rental of the property located at 32 Route Départementale 940, 62231 Blériot-Plage, Sangatte, France.

1. Purpose

The owner provides the tenant with a furnished house for temporary residential use for short-term stays (seasonal rental).

2. Booking

The booking becomes final after:

  • Written confirmation from the owner (email)
  • Payment of the requested deposit
  • Acceptance of these general terms

Any booking request via the contact form does not constitute a firm reservation. It will be confirmed or declined by the owner based on availability.

3. Rates and Payment

Rates include:

  • Nightly rate according to season (low, mid, or high)
  • End-of-stay cleaning fee
  • Bed linen, towels, and tea towels
  • WiFi access and leisure equipment

Payment terms:

  • 30% deposit upon booking
  • Balance to be paid at least 7 days before arrival
  • Security deposit of 300€ (returned within 7 days after check-out inspection)

4. Cancellation

In case of cancellation by the tenant:

  • More than 30 days before arrival: full refund of deposit
  • Between 30 and 14 days: 50% refund of deposit
  • Less than 14 days: no refund

In case of cancellation by the owner, all amounts paid will be fully refunded.

5. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM

Check-out: between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM

Different times may be arranged with the owner subject to availability.

6. Capacity

The maximum capacity of the property is 10 people. Exceeding this capacity without prior agreement from the owner results in immediate termination of the contract without refund.

7. House Rules

The tenant agrees to comply with the following rules:

  • Pets: not allowed
  • Parties and events: not permitted
  • Respect for neighbors and quiet hours, especially between 10 PM and 8 AM
  • No smoking inside the property
  • Responsible use of equipment

8. Inventory Check

An inventory check is carried out upon arrival and departure. The tenant has 24 hours after arrival to report any malfunction or pre-existing damage.

9. Security Deposit

A security deposit of 300€ is required upon arrival. It will be returned within 7 days after departure, minus any repairs or excessive cleaning required.

10. Insurance

The tenant must be covered by vacation home liability insurance. It is advisable to take out cancellation insurance.

11. Liability

The owner cannot be held responsible for theft, loss, or damage occurring during the stay. The tenant is responsible for damage caused to the property and its contents.

12. Disputes

In case of dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent court will be that of the location of the property (Boulogne-sur-Mer Court).

13. Acceptance

Validation of a booking implies full and complete acceptance of these general rental terms.
